Kicked out the glass and ran away: the deer visited the showroom with expensive cars

In the video you can see how the animal rushes about, trying to find a way out of strange and unfamiliar places. The employees of the dealership trying to help him, that is, to take hands and stand on the street, but the deer sees the people of the danger and not given. At some point one of the men almost managed to grab the intruder, but he screamed and broke, and then properly ran and jumped out the window breaking, of course, glass. Expensive cars, judging by the video, the deer didn’t hurt, so the damage from the visit of the forest dweller was relatively small.

BMW Official Shuts Down Rumors of More Powerful i8 S Model

Talks about a more powerful version of the i8 has been going around since we learned that the car only comes with a 1.5-liter, 3-cylinder engine. Understandably so, too, since the i8 looks like nothing else on the road today, having a design that’s both beautiful and exotic at the same time. Trying to keep this car somewhere in between efficiency and sportiness, BMW turned it into a proper hybrid from a number of perspectives. However, people are still hoping there will be an i8 S coming in the near future.

The fact that BMW decided to enhance the i3 with a couple of carefully picked upgrades and bring out the i3 S also poured additional gas on the proverbial fire, spurring on those hoping for an i8 S. The chances of that happening are null according to the man in charge of the i8, Marcus Pluntke. Speaking to Car Advice at the event launching the i8 Roadster, the i8 Product Manager admitted that no “S” version will be coming out.

“Customers are very happy with the performance it has. Especially as it is so quick, you know the electric motor’s response is like immediately, like reading your mind, and that is what customers really ask for in a sports car,” said Pluntke. “They don’t say ‘ooh, I need more power’ quite the opposite they say ‘It’s so fast on public roads. I can’t believe how quick it reacts and how quick it is,” he added.

He does have a point but then again, some bigger wheels and more performance definitely wouldn’t hurt. It looks like it won’t happen though and the same goes for a less-powerful and yet more accessible version that would borrow the looks but not the performance. When asked about such a prospect, Pluntke said “If you do a proper sports car – especially a BMW – will always have a proper sports car performance and with the i8 I think it does have that, we will keep it this way.”

It definitely looks like this is it for the current i8.

Watch the complete build of a 686-HP Katech Corvette Z06 engine

The guys and gals at Katech have a new Stage 4 package for the C7 Chevrolet Corvette Z06, and new video from the company shows exactly what goes into building the monster engine capable of delivering 686 horsepower at the wheels.

The company began the build with a standard Corvette Z06 equipped with an 8-speed automatic transmission. The dyno showed a baseline of 502 hp at the wheels, and the tinkering minds got to work building the engine.

In total, the package includes a damper and supercharger drive pulley, upper supercharger pulley, new camshaft, CNC ported heads, supercharger, and supercharger snout. Katech also installed a 103-millimeter throttle body and a new air intake system to reach the 686 hp figure.

The video shows exactly how Katech installs the new camshaft and the freshly ported heads and supercharger. To ensure the new camshaft doesn’t cause any issues, the part finds its way to dynamics test cell for durability and stability. The test cell features an electric motor that drives a buck, an engine block with a hole cut on the side. The camshaft is installed and drives only one cylinder worth of valvetrain. Engineers point a laser to monitor valve movement and tuners can then change traits to perfect the camshaft package.

It’s a lot of technical work, but the final package will smoke any regular Z06 wondering local roads. Should you want more power, Katech has a package for that too.
